Dr. Boru Nale, MD, MPH

Dr. Boru Nale is a board-certified family medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience providing continuous and comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families across all ages, backgrounds, and medical conditions.

His extensive career includes serving in Federally Qualified Health Centers, correctional health institutions, and urgent care settings throughout central and southern Arizona.

Originally from a remote area in Northern Kenya, Dr. Nale’s path to medicine was shaped by the loss of both his parents to a preventable illness.

That experience ignited his calling to become a physician and to ensure others would not suffer due to lack of access to care. He became the first person from his community to graduate from medical school, and he has carried that purpose and perseverance into every stage of his career.

Dr. Nale believes patients deserve to be heard, understood, and empowered in their healthcare journey. He often sets aside the screen and listens with intention, using a collaborative and compassionate approach that prioritizes the full picture of a patient’s life and needs.

His clinical interests include the management of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and thyroid disorders. He also offers expertise in travel medicine for patients experiencing health issues after international travel.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Nale enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and connecting with nature. He joined Desert Senita Community Health Center with a deep sense of purpose, viewing the opportunity to care for others as both a calling and an honor.
