No one is ever denied care because of inability to pay. We will work with you to make sure you and your family receive the care you need at a cost that fits your situation.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Desert Senita offers a Patient Discount Program through the Sliding Fee Discount Program, which adjusts costs based on family size and income so every patient can access essential medical, dental, and behavioral health services.

The Sliding Fee Discount Program covers all in-house services including, but not limited to:

Medical Services
Dental Services
Behavioral Health Services
Pharmacy Services

What if I have no insurance or I am under-insured?

This is where the Patient Discount Program comes in (officially known as the Sliding Fee Discount Program) can help. The program is for people or families without insurance or with limited coverage, so they can still get the medical care they need. With this program, the cost of medical services are adjusted based on a patient’s household income and family size.

This means those with lower incomes pay less for the same services, with the discount tailored to their income situation. This program allows Community Health Centers like Desert Senita to give access to healthcare for everyone, even if they can’t pay the full price.

Bottom line, you and your family will be seen and cared for like family, no matter your insurance status, because that’s the right thing to do when you're part of the Cactus Family at Desert Senita.

How much does the Patient Discount Program cover?

Depending on where your situation falls under the federal poverty guidelines of the Patient Discount Program, discounts can potentially range from 10% to 100% coverage.

How do I sign up for the program?

Sign-up is simple, and questions are minimal. We do not ask for legal immigration status during the application process anytime during your care and applying for the Patient Discount Program does not affect the process of a Green Card or VISA.

How long does the Patient Discount Program last after I am approved?

Once approved, the Patient Discount Program (officially called the Sliding Fee Discount Program) is valid for one year. After that, our Eligibility Specialist will send you a reminder letter to schedule an appointment to re-enroll.

You will need to provide the documents listed on the application form each time you renew for the Patient Discount Program

**Does "services will not be denied based on inability to pay" mean I don't have to ever pay?**

No. It means you will never be turned away from care if you cannot pay at the time of your visit.

However, as a patient, you are still responsible for paying what you can. We offer a Patient Discount Program (officially called the Sliding Fee Discount Program) to reduce costs based on your household size and income.
