Loan Repayment Programs

As a Federally Qualified Community Health Center and Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), Desert Senita is an approved site for both the National Health Service Corps and the Arizona State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP).

National Health Service Corps

Licensed primary care clinicians in eligible disciplines can receive loan repayment assistance through the NHSC Loan Repayment Program (NHSC LRP).

In exchange for loan repayment, you serve at least two years of service at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).

Loan Repayment Programs

The Arizona State Loan Repayment Programs consist of (SLRP) the Primary Care Provider Loan Repayment Program (PCPLRP) for public, non-profit providers and the Rural Private Primary Care Provider Loan Repayment Program (RPPCPLRP) for providers in rural private practice sites. These programs aim to promote the recruitment and retention of health care professionals by repaying their qualifying educational loans in exchange for their two-year commitment to provide primary care services in federally designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA) or Arizona Medically Underserved Areas (AzMUA).
